J. R. R. Tolkien is probably considered asthe greatest fantasy writer of all times. He was able to touch both fantasy fans and non-fantasy fans with this trilogy about a boy who finds a ring and goes on a quest to find its purpose.

Eragon

The story of a farmers boy who finds a mysterious egg on a hunt or food. The disasters that happen afterwards, are the direct consequences of this big event.

This movie, also based on the first book of the series written by Christopher Paolini, is a magnificent piece of fantasy.

This movie takes us to the far away planet Pandora, where the humans learn to interact with the local species, and especially with the Na'vi. These human-like creatures have learned to speak English, but have also learned the evil nature of human beings. Jake Sully and Neytiri try to do their best to save the world Jake has come to love, save their planet from malignant aliens.
